About NREGA and my start

nrega logoIn short NREGA stands for National Rural Employment Guarantee Act currently active in India. It guaranties 100 days employment to a rural household every year. The aim of the act is to upgrade economical conditions of the rural India, to make villages self sustainable economically and prevent migration into the cities.

I decided to take up my project in the area of NREGA when I met people at a NGO called SEARCH at Gadhchiroli who were working with the village people to help them to understand and make full use of the benefits of this system.

On the contextual inquiry with few people involved in NREGA at different levels, I got some insights and problem statements and decided to make effort in interventions required to address those problems and to create new possibilities in order to strengthen the system.

As the whole system is very vast and complex I am trying to put each and every possible aspect related to it and to understand it in a graphical manner. My next post will contain the model I am acquiring to understand and about my selected user. Feedbacks are welcome :)

Is it only about rural development or also about self employment,,,i mean watz d exact model of work, another comment is like, Govt n NGOs are working in this area,,,but majorly d problems rides around public involvements, awareness and proper implementation for beneficial.

or even after implementation, the problem is of confidence and dreams, it’s directly link to benefiting public group n their education level and also about there society / living system.

Basically, what I feel things are very infinite but not define properly and to define and to get the work flowing we have to design a system, which will help or add on to the current scenario but with the, margin of flexibility, i guess…

It seems like, u have to study all small small considerations n aspects of system also…
lots of work to do. so Best of luk,
